This month only we are sponsoring a fundraiser for the Sequim YMCA’s children’s Safety Around Water (SAW) program. For each book purchased, we will donate at least $10 for scholarships to teach children to swim this summer. Last year SAW taught 47 children to swim and this year the YMCA hopes to double that amount. Should you not want the book, you can certainly donate by contacting the Sequim YMCA directly or contact me and let me know if you’d like to donate a book.
This spring we donated 36 books to Clallam County Healthy Families and last year we donated 36 books to Utah’s foster children support programs. We also made two boxes (72 books) available at less than cost to the Washington County Library’s program “1,000 books before Kindergarten.”
